The Pizitz name is woven into Birmingham history through the Pizitz department store. When the family’s longtime Hoover home was being cleared, Bryant was chosen to conduct the estate sale.

The home, built in 1977 on a private pond off Caldwell Mill Road, held a lifetime of collecting. The sale offered the home’s full contents, including fine art and paintings, books, rugs, swords, Asian and African art, leather furniture and a Hardman baby grand piano.
